  • What is the colour of India for you?

Orange. Orange to me seemed like the underlying colour that unified everything I saw; a common thread. I seemed to be surrounded by the colour of orange from the moment I arrived and throughout the trip. It felt like the underlying unifier of every place I visited.

  • What is the scent of India for you?

A juxtaposition of spices, petrol, and the salty sea air.

  • What is the taste of India for you?

An explosion of flavours both known and many that were unknown and the pleasure of discovering them.

  • What is the sound of India for you?

The chaos of a million honking horns that creates its own orchestra.

  • What is the touch of India for you?

The feeling of rice between my fingers - the intimate experience of eating with my hands for the first time.
